OUR TEAM

JENNY PARKES
TILLY BELL KLEMM

Manager & Swim Coach

Hi, I am a qualified Special Needs and Primary School Teacher. Having worked as a Special Needs Teacher over the last 20 years, I am enjoying running and teaching at my own Swim School. Whilst mostly working with children with multiple disabilities and high support needs, I have also worked in family day care and preschool, more recently I was supporting children with Cerebral Palsy into mainstream educational settings.

believe swimming can be so much more than just learning the stroke. It can be a valid experience to simply enjoy being in the water, fun, a skill for a life time, life saving as well as health and fitness. Let us help you find your water experience.

CHRIS HOPTON

Aqua Aerobics Instructor

Chris has been teaching yoga, fitness and aqua aerobics in the local area for many years.  She has a wealth of experience and a string of qualifications to back it up.

‚Äč

Head Swim Coach

Teaching children to swim is a huge passion of mine. I have worked as a swim teacher for three years and recently have been working at Summer Camp in the USA. Surf Life Saving has played a big part in my life. Over the last ten years I competed at State level, then at National level both in Iron Woman and in the finals in the Surf Swim events. I also swam competitively in the pool for five years. I believe every child should have the ability to look after themselves in the water and I am really happy to help them on that journey.

SUE KEARNEY

Swim Coach

Sue has been teaching children to swim for many years in a number of large swim centres and  specialised in mid primary to mini squad age groups.  Sue spends much of her time volunteering for Whale Beach Surf Life Saving club often travelling around the state to deliver courses to country children as well as to local kids.

LACHLAN WARRENER

Swim Coach

Lachlan is our youngest swim teacher yet he brings with him a wealth of knowledge through his own training and competition experience in swimming and surf life saving.  He recently won medals at both state and national level for surf life saving.  As if that does not keep him busy enough he also finds time to play competitive golf and referee rugby matches.

TIA PARKES

Swim Coach

I have been swimming all my life mostly at our fabulous local beaches.  I recently completed my AUSTSWIM qualification as well as having my Bronze Medallion in surf life saving. I love teaching younger kids and plan to go into paediatric nursing after school.
